Job summary

SkiBig3 in Banff is seeking a Seasonal Content Creator & Videographer to craft fast-paced social-first videos and capture premium footage for campaigns, websites, and paid ads. You’ll follow briefs from our marketing team to bring our mountain stories to life across Instagram, TikTok, and beyond.

Ideal candidates are proficient with GoPro, Insta360, DJI, and DSLR gear, with a passion for skiing or snowboarding, strong storytelling, and the ability to deliver under tight deadlines while

Job description

What You'll Be Doing

As our Seasonal Content Creator & Videographer, you'll create fast-paced, engaging social-first content while also capturing premium evergreen and destination footage that supports paid advertising, website content, campaigns, and future marketing initiatives.

You'll work from creative briefs developed by our marketing team and help bring SkiBig3's content strategy to life across multiple channels.

Weekly Deliverables

Timely Social Content

• Create daily vertical videos highlighting current conditions, powder alerts, events, and resort updates.
• Capture social stories and real-time updates from the mountains.
• Produce trend-aware Instagram Reels and TikTok content aligned with weekly creative briefs.
• Capture high-quality B-roll for paid advertising, website content, digital screens, presentations, and future campaigns.
• Film scenic landscapes, lifestyle moments, guest experiences, and resort infrastructure with long-term marketing value in mind.

Destination Storytelling

• Create content showcasing Banff, Canmore, and Lake Louise, including local events, après, dining, activities, and community experiences.
• Develop product-focused content highlighting SkiBig3 services including Adventure Hub, lift tickets, FAQs, transportation, and behind-the-scenes operations.
• Create lifestyle storytelling that inspires guests throughout every stage of their travel planning journey.

Athlete Hosting & Content Capture

• Host Ikon Pass or Mountain Collective professional athletes and content creators on the mountain while capturing photo and video content.

What You Bring

• Strong videography skills, including shooting and editing video content using GoPro, Insta360, DJI cameras, DSLR cameras, and iPhone. Action sports photography is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated understanding of current short-form video trends, hooks, pacing, and editing styles that drive engagement across Instagram and TikTok.
• Ability to interpret and execute creative briefs while maintaining SkiBig3's brand voice and visual style.
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and composition across both short-form social content and cinematic evergreen marketing footage.
• Understanding of the importance of maintaining a consistent brand aesthetic across all content.
• Advanced skier or snowboarder preferred. Must be confident riding a wide variety of terrain while safely operating camera equipment or filming on an iPhone. Ability to access advanced terrain, ski or ride powder and variable conditions, and keep pace with models, athletes, or guests while filming is considered a strong asset.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality edited content under tight deadlines.
• Resourceful and proactive, with the ability to adapt to changing snow conditions, visibility, lighting, and weather.
• Highly self-motivated and organized, with the ability to independently plan, capture, and deliver content with minimal supervision.
• Ability to source a diverse range of ski and snowboard models representing different ages, backgrounds, and ability levels.
• Professionalism and positivity while representing SkiBig3 and partner resorts.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently host media, creators, or athletes while ensuring an enjoyable and professional content capture experience.
• Comfortable interacting with guests, models, and resort employees to capture authentic content.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends, resort opening days, major snowfall events, and special events.
• Sports photography experience is considered an asset.
• Reliable transportation is an asset but not required.
• Experience working with action sports, tourism, outdoor, or destination brands is considered an asset.
• Passion for skiing, snowboarding, and destination storytelling.
• Complimentary SkiBig3 2026/27 Season Pass.
• SkiBig3 lift tickets provided for models during approved shoot days.
• Opportunity to showcase your work across SkiBig3, Banff Sunshine, Lake Louise Ski Resort, Mt Norquay, and partners including Banff & Lake Louise Tourism, Travel Alberta, Ikon Pass, and Mountain Collective.
• Credit and tagging where possible.
• Permission to use content in your personal portfolio and social media unless otherwise specified.
• You are responsible for providing your own primary equipment (cell phone and/or camera). An Insta360 camera will be provided.
• Expenses (such as food and beverages during shoots) and lift tickets for models must be pre-approved with advance notice.
• You must wear a helmet while skiing or snowboarding and keep the safety bar down while riding chairlifts.
• You must follow the Alpine Responsibility Code and remain within resort boundaries at all times.

Other Requirements

• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Candidates currently located in the Bow Valley will be prioritized.
