Job summary

Kent Building Supplies in Fredericton, NB is seeking a Seasonal Associate to assist customers, recommend products, and provide excellent service. The role offers part-time hours with potential for up to full-time based on business needs.

You will engage customers, learn products, and help build quotes and material lists while upholding safety and service standards. This position requires flexibility for days/evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Capable of lifting up to 55 lbs.
• Willingness to work days, evenings and weekends on rotating shifts.
• Ability to learn and use the D635 order processing system.
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent is an asset.
• Bilingual French/English is an asset.

As a Seasonal Associate, you will help the customers to fully understand their needs and assist in selecting the right products for their requirements. As knowledgeable sales professionals, sales associates can make recommendations which solve customers' problems and enhance their shopping experience.

This position is part-time with the potential for up to full-time hours based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge
• Clarify and understand customers’ needs and take them to the best solution for their projects.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions
• Take initiative and confidently direct customer interactions
• Produce quotes, material lists and follows up
• Demonstrate high standards of safety and customer service
• Resolve customer challenges quickly and efficiently.
• Continually learn about products and market conditions
