Our customer base includes Air Canada, WestJet, Canadian Coast Guard, Purolator, Petro Canada, Home Hardware, Alaska Airlines and a broad base of government entities such as the Federal Government of Canada.

J ob Summary: The seamstress main responsibility is to alter and tailor uniform garments based on customer orders and on specifications within the set timeframe.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fit, alter and tailor uniform garments according to customer’s orders and specifications by hand or using sewing machines, collar dog machines, blind stitching and surging machines.
  • Read and understand garment instructions on the customer’s purchase w orders of alteration of garments to determine type of alteration.
  • Assemble orders which includes iron steaming, folding and packing
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience and Education:

  • Completion of secondary school
  • Demonstrate the ability to sew, alter and repair garments
  • Experience operating industrial sewing machines and steam iron machines (Blind stich, surging and collar dog machines)
