Job summary

Amazon EKS in Vancouver seeks a Software Development Engineer to design and build distributed systems that run in production across AWS regions. You will own components from design through launch, collaborating with senior engineers and product managers to deliver multi-tenant control plane infrastructure at scale.

You will write high-quality code, participate in on-call and incident response, review teammates' code, and mentor engineers early in their careers while shipping features weekly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate distributed services that run in production across AWS regions.
• Write and review code to a high bar of quality, security, and maintainability.
• Partner with senior engineers, principal engineers, and product managers to shape feature direction and technical designs.
• Help drive architecture decisions for multi-tenant, multi-region control plane infrastructure.
• Turn ambiguous customer problems into concrete designs with measurable outcomes, and mentor engineers earlier in their careers.
