Position Overview

Discovery Community College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Community Service Worker (SCSW) instructor to join our team at the Surrey Campus. The successful candidate will be passionate about educating and mentoring future social service professionals.

Responsibilities

1. Teach a variety of subjects within the SCSW program, including Communication (Interpersonal), Personal Growth, Lifespan Development, Mental Health, Supportive Care, Personal Care, and Professional Growth.
2. Deliver in-person courses in accordance with college guidelines, curriculum, and mentoring provided.

Qualifications

• Certificate related to community support work and 24 months of related occupational experience, or 10 years of related occupational experience.
• Previous teaching experience is an asset.
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Excel and Microsoft Teams.
