Arc Health in Ottawa is seeking a Scrum Master to guide the agile delivery of healthcare software solutions across two teams, ensuring Scrum ceremonies and practices are followed.

You will coach teams, remove impediments, refine product backlogs with stakeholders, and collaborate with Product Owner and BA to ensure value delivery and quality. This role sits within Harris Computer's healthcare portfolio, offering a pathway to grow within a robust software ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 3 years as a Scrum Master in an agile environment, preferably in healthcare.
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is a plus.
• Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence for agile project management and collaboration.

Job description

We are seeking a dynamic individual with a blend of healthcare industry experience and Scrum Masterexpertise, and project management experience to join our team. As a Scrum Master, you will play apivotal role in facilitating the agile delivery of healthcare software solutions while also providing criticalanalysis and insights to drive business success.

What your impact will be:

• Serve as a Scrum Master for up to two Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles,practices, and ceremonies.
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to drive teamcollaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• Remove impediments and obstacles that hinder the progress of the team, fostering a culture ofproblem-solving and self-organization.
• Coach team members on Agile methodologies and best practices, promoting a culture of agility,innovation, and accountability while following set processes that may be adapted to project needs.
• Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and development teams to prioritize and refineproduct backlogs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
• Monitor team performance metrics and sprint progress, identify areas for optimization, andimplement strategies for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop a strong understanding of the team's software solutions and workflows to effectivelyfacilitate discussions, remove impediments, and support delivery.

2. Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist the Product Owner and Business Analyst with the following:
• Enhancing backlog quality by coaching on and assisting with effective user story writing,and acceptance criteria to ensure stories are ready and accepted for execution by the agileteam.
• Facilitate requirements clarification by using product knowledge to bridge the gap betweenthe PO's vision and the agile team's technical implementation ensuring sharedunderstanding and identifying potential risk and/or dependencies early.
• A whole-team approach to quality by actively participating in extra testing activities such asbreak-a-thons.
• Ensuring a clear communication of value by collaborating with the PO and BA to translatecompleted features and bugs into clear, user-centric release notes that effectivelycommunicate the value delivered to stakeholders
• Monitor and track related feedback and issues pertaining to User Acceptance Testing andescalate when needed.

What we look for:

• 3 years as a Scrum Master in an agile environment and preferably in the healthcare industry
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, principles, and practices, with the ability to tailorapproaches to meet specific project needs. Experience with Scaled Agle Framework™ (SAFe) willmake you stand out.
• Proficiency in tools and technologies commonly used in agile project managment and businessanalysis, specifically JIRA and Confluence.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectivelycollaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and drive data-drivendecision-making.

Additional Qualifications:

• Familiarity with healthcare industry standards, regulations, HL7 interfaces, and best practices inCanada or the United States.
• Experience with software quality testing and quality processes
• Experience as a clinical informaticist or part of a healthcare system's application support team,contributing to the optimization and support of healthcare information systems.
