Job summary

Interpro Prairie Recycling Inc. in Camrose, Alberta, is seeking a versatile yard worker for our metal recycling operation. The role involves cleaning around the mill, sorting and loading materials, and assisting in the mechanics shop as needed.

You will cut scrap steel with a torch, handle non-ferrous metals, and maintain yard organization while following SOPs and safety procedures. Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• No experience required, but prior manufacturing or scrapyard exposure is a plus.
• Able to meet physical demands including lifting and long hours.

Responsibilities

• Clean around the mill and assist with yard maintenance.
• Sort, stack, and move materials; prepare for loading/unloading.
• Cut scrap steel to specified sizes using a cutting torch; operate with PPE.
• Load/unload materials and inspect non-ferrous metals; sort by type.
• Assist in mechanics/truck shops as needed; follow SOPs, SWPs, JSAs and safety rules.
• Work a flexible schedule including days, nights and weekends.
