Job summary

Alamos Gold Inc. is actively seeking a haul truck operator for our Island Gold District in northern Ontario, near Dubreuilville. You will load trucks, maintain ventilation, and direct traffic safely within underground headings.

Applicants should have Grade 12 education and underground module training, plus 6 months haul truck experience. Scoops experience is a plus. Camp accommodations are provided on a 7 on/7 off schedule.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education required.
• Must have basic Underground modules completed.
• Minimum 6 months experience on a haul truck.
• Prior experience on a scoop would be considered an asset.
• Strong organizational skills with a priority for safety.
• Able to follow directions with minimal supervision.
• Adaptable to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Safely load haul trucks to their maximum load to ensure efficient hauling.
• Maintain ventilation up to standard in heading.
• Direct trucks safely and efficiently.
• Muck daily quota and maintain roadway per standards.
• Adhere to vent tag board procedures when entering heading.
• Repair roadways with crusher material as needed.
• Safely operate scoop when required.

Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. Primary Responsibilities:

• Safely load haul trucks to their maximum load to ensure efficient hauling
• Maintain ventilation up to standard in heading
• Required to safely and efficiently direct trucks
• Safely muck daily quota and maintain roadway in accordance to established standards
• Adhere to vent tag board procedure when entering his or her heading
• Properly repair roadways with crush material
• Safely required to operate scoop

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 education

Crew:

7 day on 7 day away schedule. Camp accommodations provided

Pay or shift range: $37.85 CAD to $43.58 CAD
