Responsibilities

  • Safely install ground support in accordance to standard(s).
  • Able to drill holes in accordance with regulations regarding drilling on a face.
  • Meet the daily productive goals required for the job.
  • Cap, load and blast round.
  • Hook up blast following procedures.
  • Read prints.
  • Safely operate a scissor truck.
  • Safely operate scoop.
  • Complete the daily tracking sheet when required.
  • Meet daily productive goals.
  • Perform rehab jobs when required.

About Island Gold District: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. Primary Responsibilities
  • Safely muck out blasted round

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications And Experience
  • Grade 12 education preferred
  • Must have the required U/G common core modules for the position
  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a Scoop Operator is required
  • Prior experience as a Bolter is required
  • Experience as a jumbo operator is preferred
  • Be self-motivated and able to work with others

This position is a 14 days on 14 days off rotation switching between days and nights each run. Travel allowance is provided and is dependent on your distance from the mine site. Bunkhouse and meal accommodations is also provided to the successful candidate if the candidate is not local. Medical and health benefits are provided.
