Job summary

Voyago in Kingston, Ontario is seeking a dedicated school bus driver for a permanent part-time position working 30 hours per week. You will operate buses, transport students, and communicate with dispatchers to maintain safe, on-time service.

The role requires a valid yet standard driver's licence, a clean driving record, and the ability to supervise students during trips. You will perform pre-trip inspections and ensure safe boarding and crossing procedures.

• No degree, certificate or diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Operate buses, school busses or streetcars to transport passengers
• Report delays, mechanical problems and accidents
• Direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures
• Complete logbooks and reports
• Communicate with passengers, dispatchers or other drivers using two-way radio systems
• Ensure children's safety when boarding and leaving buses and crossing street while bus is stopped
• Maintain control of student activities during travel to prevent distractions or behaviours that could compromise safety
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Monitor safety conditions
