Job summary

Chilliwack School District No. 33 is seeking a school-based Occupational Therapist to support students aged 5–17 in accessing, engaging, and participating in school life.

You will collaborate with families, teachers, educational assistants, school-based teams, and community professionals to identify strengths, reduce barriers, and promote student success, including self-regulation, sensory processing, accessibility, and assistive technology.

Qualifications

• Current registration or eligibility with CHCPBC is required.
• Valid BC Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
• Experience as an Occupational Therapist with children aged 5–17, preferably in school-based settings.

Responsibilities

• Support students aged 5–17 to access, engage, and participate fully in school life.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, educational assistants, school-based teams, and community professionals.
• Identify strengths, reduce barriers, and promote student success in areas like self-regulation, sensory processing, and accessibility.
• Develop and document practical strategies and programs, manage caseloads, and monitor progress.
