Job summary

Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) seeks an Educational Assistant to support students across academic, behavioral, social, life skills, and co-op contexts. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to foster safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living (toileting, feeding, lifting) and rotating through schools to meet diverse grade-level needs.

Qualifications

• Requires a relevant university degree or a two-year college diploma in human services.
• BMS training is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support students to achieve success in academic, behavior, social, life skills and co-op situations.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support learning and inclusion.
• Assist with toileting, diapering, feeding, lifting, transferring, positioning and mobility as required.
• May rotate through the school to meet student needs across grade levels.
