YMCA BC is seeking a compassionate individual for a casual Child Care role across various locations in Fort St. John, BC.
The position supports an inclusive before and after school program for children ages 5-12, ensuring a safe and engaging environment where every child can thrive. Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 9:00am and 2:00pm - 5:30pm. Full day shifts on Non-
Instructional Days and breaks
*Sites are open on Pro D days and there is potential to work during breaks
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: $23.14 per hour

Join Our Team! We’re seeking a compassionate and collaborative individual to support our inclusive before and after school program for children ages 5-12. In this role, you’ll work alongside a dedicated team to create a welcoming environment where every child - regardless of their needs - can thrive.
You will design and actively participate in activities, provide individualized support as needed, help children navigate conflicts, and model positive behaviours. You’ll also contribute to care plans, support each child’s unique strengths, maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios, and ensure a safe, inclusive space where every child feels valued and supported.
