YMCA BC in Prince George, BC is seeking a compassionate, part-time After School Program Assistant to support an inclusive before/after school program for children ages 5-12. You will design activities, provide individualized support, and model positive behaviours in a safe, welcoming space.
You will help maintain ratios, contribute to care plans, and work with a collaborative team to ensure high-quality programs that align with YMCA standards and licensing requirements.
Location: YMCA Lac Des Bois Care and Learning Centre (4131 Rainbow Dr, Prince George, BC V2M 3W3)
Term: Permanent, Part-time
Hours: 20 hours per week
Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 6:00pm and between 7:30am - 6:00pm on Non-Instructional Days and breaks
*Sites are open on Pro D days and there is potential to work during breaks
Start Date: October 25, 2026
Salary: $23.14 per hour

You’ll also contribute to care plans, support each child’s unique strengths, maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios, and ensure a safe, inclusive space where every child feels valued and supported.
