We are looking for experienced School Age Care Workers to join our Wentworth Campus (JK – Grade 5). This position involves working within the school age program and facilitating activities for children ages JK to Grade 5. The ideal candidates will be passionate and committed educators who can contribute to various facets of school life. It is a Temporary Contract position from September 2, 2025, to June 12, 2026, with the possibility of continuation. This position reports directly to the Director of External Programs.

Available shifts include:

• Monday to Friday 12:45-4:45 pm
• Early Childhood Education required
• Eligible for benefits
• Monday to Friday 1:45-4:30 pm
• Monday to Friday 2:15-5:15 pm

Responsibilities:

• Follow licensing regulations and the School Age Care Handbook
• Interact directly with children and staff members
• Assist with planning and setting up activities for the School Age Care program
• Establish and maintain positive communication with parents
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and clean environment in all activity areas
• Ensure safety and supervision standards are upheld according to licensing and Collingwood requirements
• Release children only to authorized persons as per parent/guardian instructions
• Maintain confidentiality of all information related to Collingwood School, children, families, and staff
• Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and professionalism
• Ensure fire, earthquake, and wildlife drills are current

Required qualifications:

• A valid First Aid certificate (Standard First Aid preferred)
• A valid Early Childhood Education Diploma/Certificate required for the JK position
• Accountability, maturity, and a high level of responsibility
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
• Courses in working with children are an asset
• Excellent management, organizational, interpersonal, and relationship skills
• Creative flexibility and ability to work in a student-centered environment
• Ability to build collaborative and effective relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community
• Canadian residency and legal eligibility to work in Canada
