Job summary

Maple Reinders Constructors is seeking an experienced scheduler to join our Mississauga head office. You will develop and maintain integrated project schedules, supporting project teams across all construction phases and ensuring adherence to controls processes.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in civil construction scheduling, strong Primavera P6 and MS Project skills, and a degree in PM/Engineering. Water/wastewater or ICI project experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5–10 years of scheduling experience in civil construction.
  • Advanced knowledge of scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Solid understanding of construction logic, procurement, and fabrication loading.
  • Degree in Project/Construction Management or Engineering or related diploma.
  • Experience on Water/Wastewater or ICI projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain realistic project schedules across all phases.
  • Create integrated schedules: activities, logic, resources, progress.
  • Produce reports including cash flow and resource-loaded schedules.
  • Liaise with PMs, owner, and subs on planning and progress reporting.
  • Support change management processes and impact analysis.

Scheduler / Planner (Civil Construction)
Maple Reinders Constructors is currently searching for an experienced construction scheduler to join our team at our head office in Mississauga, Ontario.
The Scheduler provides in-house scheduling and planning expertise to project teams for all stages of construction projects to develop disciple and accountability. This will include supporting the project team in the execution of all project controls processes and systems on mid-level and larger projects. Responsible for ensuring that all project teams are in compliance with the systems and utilizing the established procedures while reducing risk and improving project quality.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain consistent and realistic schedules for projects.
  • Develop the activities, logic, resource loading and progress to provide a fully integrated project schedule, leading to the creation of the baseline schedule and its subsequent maintenance throughout all phases of projects (submittals approvals, procurement, construction, testing, start-up and commissioning).
  • Produce all associated (relevant) reports including cash flow reports and resource loaded schedules, based on project estimates and master schedule.
  • Interface/maintain liaison with project management, owner, subcontractors, etc. on all planning and scheduling related items and functions including reporting requirements, progress status, new impacts, etc.
  • Support the Project Management Team in maintaining timely and effective change management processes, procedures and systems. Including impact analysis.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of previous scheduling experience in the civil construction industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of scheduling software including previous experience using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • A comprehensive understanding of construction logic, procurement sequences, fabrication shop load requirements and construction techniques.
  • A Degree in Project/Construction Management or Engineering, or a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.
  • Previous construction experience on Water Treatment/Wastewater Treatment projects is considered an asset.
  • Previous construction experience on ICI projects is also considered an asset.
