Job summary

The Town of Saugeen Shores in Southampton, ON is seeking a customer-oriented Landfill Attendant to join the Operations Department. You will weigh vehicles at the scale house, collect fees, and maintain day-to-day housekeeping of the scale house area.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Weigh cars and trucks at the scale house and record weights.
• Collect fees and complete invoices/cash transactions.
• Ensure loads are checked for hazardous waste and unacceptable refuse.
• Liaise with the public to communicate landfill use information.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the scale house, trailer/building facilities and recycle bin area.
