Job summary

A&K Scaffolding provides scaffold installation, rental, and sales for commercial and residential projects across Metro Vancouver. We are seeking a skilled scaffold professional to join our crew and help erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding on diverse sites.

The candidate will guide crew members, read and explain scaffold drawings, and ensure safety standards are followed. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites across Metro Vancouver are required.

Responsibilities

• Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding with the crew.
• Guide crew members through daily tasks and assign work.
• Follow scaffold drawings, plans, and site instructions.
• Ensure materials and equipment are available for jobs.
• Support and train less experienced scaffolders.
• Identify hazards and raise safety or design concerns promptly.
• Communicate progress and site issues to operations team.

Job description

A&K Scaffolding provides scaffold installation, rental, and sales for commercial and residential projects across Metro Vancouver. Our work includes system scaffolding, stair towers, temporary roofs, weather protection, and custom access solutions.

What We Offer

• $36–$45 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

What You’ll Do

• Work alongside the crew to erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding
• Guide crew members through the day’s work and help assign tasks
• Follow scaffold drawings, approved plans, and site instructions
• Check that required materials and equipment are available
• Support and train less experienced scaffolders
• Identify hazards and promptly raise safety or design concerns
• Communicate progress, material needs, and site issues to A&K’s operations team

What You’ll Bring

• Solid hands-on experience erecting and dismantling scaffolding systems
• Experience guiding scaffold crews, preferably on commercial projects
• Ability to read scaffold drawings and explain the work to crew members
• Practical knowledge of fall protection, safe access, load limits, and scaffold safety
• Clear communication skills and a willingness to work alongside the crew
• Ability to lift materials, climb, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• A valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel to job sites across Metro Vancouver

Experience with ringlock scaffolding, stair towers, temporary roofs, shrink wrap, or debris containment is an asset.
