Job summary

City of Hamilton seeks a SCADA Supervisor (Instrumentation & Control) to lead the SCADA team responsible for water and wastewater facilities. You will oversee system maintenance, programming, security, and data integrity across multiple sites, directing contractors and internal staff alike.

The role requires a engineering background, strong leadership, and experience with SCADA platforms; you will coordinate with operations to ensure high reliability and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in SCADA systems within water/wastewater environments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and defense-in-depth strategies.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage contractors.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise SCADA technician staff in maintenance tasks.
• Provide leadership and technical direction within the section.
• Maintain SCADA systems: graphics, tagging, databases, reporting and programming.
• Review SCADA programming for compliance with City standards; participate in FAT/SAT.
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance trades to resolve issues and optimize processes.
