Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Systems Integrator – Industrial Automation & SCADA in Canada to lead design and execution of PLC and SCADA projects for municipal and industrial infrastructure. You will program, test, and commission control systems in live plant environments, provide on-site and remote troubleshooting, and develop detailed control narratives and specifications.

Qualifications

• Hands-on PLC programming experience with Rockwell Automation platforms (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix).
• Experience with other PLC brands (Emerson RX3i, Schneider Modicon M340/M580, GE Fanuc) is a plus.
• Expertise configuring SCADA/HMI platforms (iFix, AVEVA; VTScada/Ignition/ClearSCADA/Survalent/Geo SCADA valued).
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, Modbus RTU/TCP, EtherNet/IP, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus).
• Experience in system commissioning, startup support, and operator assistance.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• Demonstrated hands‑on PLC programming experience with Rockwell Automation platforms (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix); experience with Emerson RX3i, Schneider Modicon (M340/M580), or GE Fanuc is an asset.
• Expert level experience configuring and supporting iFix, and AVEVA; experience with VTScada and/or Ignition, ClearSCADA, Survalent, or Geo SCADA considered valuable.
• Proven implementation and troubleshooting experience with industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, Modbus RTU/TCP, EtherNet/IP, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus).
• Practical experience in system commissioning, startup support, and operator assistance.
• Strong understanding of industrial networking, including Ethernet (copper/fibre), segmentation, and firewalls.
• Ability to produce control system specifications, PCNs, architecture diagrams, and networking documentation.
• Comfort contributing complementary skills such as shop drawing review, control schematics, or drafting support (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation).

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89,800 - $118,900
MB & ON: $81,900 - $112,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $81,100 - $107,700
