Job summary

Canfor's Whitecourt sawmill in Alberta is hiring a production worker for an entry-level role with on-the-job training. You will work on a rotating schedule (two weeks of days and two weeks of nights) alongside a team of skilled colleagues in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail and the ability to operate around conveyors and industrial equipment while contributing to a safe, efficient facility.

Qualifications

• 4th Class Power Engineering ticket is required or preferred.
• Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks for extended periods (standing, lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Experience with machinery is an asset.
• Excellent teamwork and communication with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Shovel, lift, and carry boards and debris, contributing to site cleanliness and safety.
• Rotate through different tasks within the facility while adhering to schedules for production timeliness.
• Contribute to a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and site visitors.
