Job summary

Domtar Corporation in Atikokan, ON is seeking an Industrial Labourer to operate sawmill equipment safely and efficiently. The role is full-time permanent, with a rotating 12-hour shift pattern (4 days on / 4 days off) and responsibilities include maintaining area cleanliness, monitoring equipment, and ensuring product quality to meet customer specs.

Ideal candidates have a Grade 12 diploma, basic industrial experience, a strong safety mindset, and reliable transport to the site.

Qualifications

• Must adhere to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Capable of repetitive, manual tasks for extended periods.
• Experience with manufacturing machinery is an asset.
• Able to operate equipment safely and monitor use.

Responsibilities

• Comply with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of assigned areas in the factory.
• Operate equipment safely as required and monitor use.
• Ensure product quality meets standards and customer requirements.
• Perform repetitive tasks such as piling lumber, standing long hours, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
