Domtar is seeking a full-time Industrial Laborer for the Atikokan Sawmill. The role includes ensuring safety and cleanliness, operating equipment, and meeting product quality standards. Position: Industrial Laborer, Atikokan Sawmill. Full‑time permanent. Location: Atikokan, Ontario, Canada.

Your responsibilities:

• Comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of assigned areas of the factory.
• Operate equipment safely and monitor its use as required.
• Ensure product quality meets standards and customer requirements.
• Perform repetitive, manual tasks for extended periods (e.g., piling lumber, standing, walking, shoveling, climbing stairs, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Possess experience with or around manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Ideal profile:

• Grade 12 High School diploma or equivalent.
• Industrial, manufacturing, construction, or labour experience is an asset.
• Age 18 or older.
• Uncompromising approach to safety.
• Effective communication and collaborative skills.
• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts on a rotating 4‑days‑on/4‑days‑off schedule.
• Reliable transportation to and from the Atikokan Sawmill.
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
• Interest in the industrial environment and resourcefulness.

Your team:

• Reporting to the Sawmill / Planer Supervisor and working with a results‑oriented team encouraged to exceed expectations.
