Job summary

MDA Space in Montreal is seeking an Intermediate Buyer Planner to manage material requirements, negotiate with suppliers, and support MRP processes within the Satellite Systems team. You will handle overhead, building services, and standard commodities for commercial, military, and space markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• 2 years of related experience.
• Familiar with export control regulations.
• Experience in electronic component procurement.
• Fluency in French and English (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Analyze MRP messages and take appropriate action.
• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers.
• Analyze received quotes and place orders within authorization limits.
• Follow up on purchase orders and shipment tracking for timely deliveries.
• Support sales and engineering requests regarding material costs and availability.
• Review monthly supplier performance and define corrective actions.
