Job summary

MDA Space in Montreal invites an Intermediate Production Planner to join the Satellite Systems team. You will plan, analyse and deliver simple programs from design to delivery, coordinating material, equipment, facilities and workforce across the program lifecycle.

You bring a Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or equivalent), 2 years’PM/production planning experience, and proficiency in ERP and Primavera. French and English fluency is essential; security clearances may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field; PMI-PMP is an asset.
• 2 years of PM/production-planning experience; other relevant education/experience may be considered.
• Proficiency with Office suite and Primavera or similar PM software.
• Strong understanding of scheduling concepts and project management principles.
• Sense of urgency, accountability and strong communication skills.
• Bilingual French and English (spoken and written) for supplier contacts outside Quebec.

Responsibilities

• Create demand/contract deliverables in ERP.
• Create & maintain simple schedules based on activity progress (Design, Procurement, AI&T).
• Create Design Release Plan and track progress with the program team.
• Prepare and revise Production Readiness Review.
• Monitor progress against plan; raise scheduling or capacity issues.
• Identify/record schedule risks and critical activities; analyze impacts of changes.
• Record key resources needed per activity to meet the plan.
• Coordinate major equipment reservations and floor space capacity.
• Review and sign ECNs for items on simple programs.
• Investigate material flow issues and derive solutions.
• Support master scheduler in improving planning methods.
• Prepare shipping order papers.
