Job summary

Apetan Consulting LLC in Montreal is seeking an Application Analyst SAS Viya Operations to support a migration from SAS 9.3 to SAS Viya. The role focuses on platform migration, automation, and operational activities within an on-site setting.

The ideal candidate brings at least 3 years in data technologies, strong SAS expertise, cloud and source-control exposure, and fluency in French. You will work with distributed teams to ensure smooth migrations and ongoing platform stability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical role related to data technologies, analytics applications, or SAS platforms.
• Strong knowledge of SAS, including SAS Base, SQL, Enterprise Guide, or SAS Viya.
• Basic knowledge of cloud environments and source code management tools such as AWS, Git, PRs, etc.
• Knowledge of Python or automation tools is an asset.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• French is mandatory; English is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform required operational activities on the SAS Viya platform to support migration teams and business units, including: Access management, Scheduling, Database connections, Data transfers, Other platform configurations.
• Execute configuration accelerators used as part of SAS Viya migrations.
• Analyze the results generated by the accelerators and perform the required adjustments and follow-ups.
• Participate in configuration activities related to migrations.
• Implement improvements and quick wins to reduce manual tasks and increase operational efficiency.
• Document procedures, configurations, and completed activities.
• Collaborate with development, platform, and business teams to ensure the successful execution of migrations.

Job Title: SAS Viya Information Technology Analyst

Location: Downtown Montreal

Contract Duration: 6 months, with possibility of extension

Hours per Week: 37.5 hours

Additional Requirements

• On-site presence 2 days per week is mandatory.
• French proficiency is mandatory; English is an asset.
