Job summary

Flynn in Mississauga, ON is seeking a Payroll professional to manage payroll processing, ensure union rate compliance, and support system setups and government regulations. The role requires knowledge of Canadian payroll practices and experience with SAP SuccessFactors and MS Office.

The successful candidate will handle garnishments, union payments, and inquiries while coordinating with branches and maintaining accurate employee records.

Day In the Life:

• Review payroll system to ensure union rate compliance
• Assist with system setup requirements, including Jira Ticket creation, review and validation
• Ensure compliance with Federal & Provincial payroll legislation and company policy
• Process Garnishment’s
• Process Union Payments
• Respond to union inquiries
• Liaison with branches on payroll related items
• Maintain employee records as per government regulations
• Assist with other duties as assigned

What You Bring:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a payroll processing role and/or a strong understanding of fundamental payroll procedures.
• Experience with analyzing deductions, remittances, taxes, CPP, EI is required
• Experience with salaried, hourly union and non-union payroll is required
• Knowledge of relevant government regulations across Canada
• PCP or CPM designation preferred - or relevant work experience
• Experience with SAP Success Factors preferred
• Must have strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, especially excel skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Accuracy and detail orientated
• Analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
