Job summary

Eetdbuyersguide seeks a Senior SAP S/4HANA Finance Lead Analyst to drive post-upgrade optimization and finance transformation in our upgraded S/4HANA environment. Based in our Calgary head office with a hybrid schedule, you will lead cross-functional initiatives with stakeholders and external vendors.

You will shape the 3-year finance technology roadmap, optimize month-end close, and deliver real-time reporting and controls across FI/CO, PS, and TRM.

• 8+ years SAP Finance experience including S/4HANA FICO
• 3+ years hands-on S/4HANA FICO
• Critical: post-upgrade optimization in upgraded environments

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP S/4HANA Finance Lead Analyst to drive financial process optimization and system enhancement initiatives for our freshly upgraded S/4HANA on RISE environment. This role requires proven expertise in S/4HANA Finance modules, post-upgrade optimization experience, and the ability to coordinate complex projects with business stakeholders and outsourced vendor teams while maximizing the value of our newly upgraded system.

This position is based out of our Downtown Calgary Head Office, with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Strategic Leadership:

• Lead post-upgrade optimization and continuous improvement for S/4HANA Finance modules (FI/CO, PS, TRM, Cash, OpenText VIM) in our freshly upgraded environment
• Coordinate complex finance projects with outsourced development teams and internal stakeholders for customizations and integrations
• Develop comprehensive 3-year finance technology roadmap leveraging new S/4HANA upgrade capabilities

Operational Excellence:

• Lead business process reengineering initiatives leveraging S/4HANA finance capabilities
• Implement month-end close optimization and automation opportunities
• Design and deploy real-time financial reporting and analytics solutions
• Provide Level 3 support and escalation resolution for complex finance issues

Technical Leadership:

• Serve as subject matter expert for S/4HANA Finance module configurations and customizations
• Oversee integration between S/4HANA and external financial systems (planning, consolidation, etc.)
• Lead testing and validation for system updates and finance-related enhancements
• Design and implement automated controls and audit trails for financial processes

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field
• 8+ years total SAP Finance experience with minimum 3+ years hands-on S/4HANA FICO
• CRITICAL: Proven experience with S/4HANA post-upgrade optimization and finance transformation in newly upgraded environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP S/4HANA Finance certification
• CPA, or equivalent finance certification
• Experience with SAP BPC or SAP Analytics Cloud for planning and consolidation
• Knowledge of RPA tools for finance process automation
