Job description

• Our client is seeking an experienced and certified SAP Back-End Developer to join our team and support the ongoing development, customization, and maintenance of our SAP systems.
• The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in ABAP development within the S / 4HANA environment, including hands-on experience with CDS Views, OData services, RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming), and HANA data modeling.
• This role will work closely with Functional Consultants, fellow developers, and various business stakeholders to deliver high-quality SAP solutions that support enterprise-wide initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide ongoing support, operations, and maintenance for SAP systems and related applications.
• Design, develop, and implement custom SAP solutions in line with organizational development standards.
• Lead the creation and deployment of new SAP development objects using ABAP, ADT, CDS Views, and HANA technologies.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve production and development issues.
• SAP Back-End Developer collaborates with SAP Functional Consultants and business teams to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and quality assurance for SAP custom developments.
• Develop and maintain RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows).
• Manage technical documentation, including technical specs, user guides, and version control documentation.
• Evaluate and implement SAP patches, upgrades, and vendor releases, ensuring compatibility with custom code.
• Utilize SAP Solution Manager for change request management (ChaRM) and custom code tracking.
• Integrate SAP systems with third-party tools and middleware (e.g., Cideon, OpenText, Redwood, SAP PO).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
• Ability to document and present technical solutions clearly and professionally.
• A continuous learning mindset with an awareness of emerging SAP technologies and trends.
• Capacity to work in a dynamic team environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Required Qualifications :

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (BSc or MSc).
• SAP Certified Development Specialist – ABAP for SAP HANA 2.0.
• SAP Certified Associate – Back-End Developer (ABAP Cloud).
• 5+ years of hands-on ABAP development experience, including object-oriented ABAP and S / 4HANA.
• Proficiency in CDS View creation / modification, OData services, AMDP, RAP, and ADT.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts and integrated data dictionaries.
• Experience with SAP PO (Process Orchestration), BDC, BAPI, IDOCs, Adobe Forms, and NetWeaver Gateway.
• Familiarity with Fiori / UI5 integration and SAP middleware communication.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with SAP Solution Manager for ChaRM and transport management.
• Prior involvement in at least one full life cycle SAP implementation.
• Knowledge of SAP partner products such as Cideon for AutoCAD integration, Redwood, Output Management, and OpenText.
• Working knowledge of development methodologies, version control, and agile principles.
• Exposure to SAP BW / BI systems and integration.
