Job summary

Refresco in Canada is seeking a sanitation technician reporting to the Quality Supervisor to ensure highest quality product through efficient cleaning of production lines. The sanitation technician is responsible for following cleaning and sanitation requirements for the production lines to ensure quality of the finished product.

The role emphasizes GMP and PPE compliance, collaboration with QA and other departments, and maintaining inventory and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school certification or equivalent is required.
• Manufacturing experience is preferred (3–5 years).
• WHMIS certification and safety knowledge are required.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to operate production equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to health and safety policies and PPE requirements in warehouse/production areas.
• Maintain food quality and safety per standards and Safe Quality Food requirements.
• Work with all departments to maintain cleanliness, increase efficiencies and reduce damaged products.
• Prioritize cleaning as directed by QA Supervisor or Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Mix required chemicals and monitor concentrations per SOPs.
• Operate cleaning equipment and complete chemical concentration monitoring.
• Complete accurate inventory counts and keep storage areas clean.
• Store all chemicals and safety equipment properly.
• Provide training to new personnel.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by Management.
• Complete Filter Change Log book as required.
• Other duties as required.
