Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking a Weekend Sanitation employee in Kitchener to maintain cleanliness of the plant, equipment, and common areas. You will disassemble and sanitize food-processing equipment, operate floor scrubbers, and follow GMPs and safety guidelines.

The role is part-time on weekends (Sat-Sun), 7:00 am to 3:00 pm or 5:00 pm, with a wage of $23.26–$23.51 per hour. Must be able to work in a dusty, humid, and hot environment and lift up to 50 lbs. Apply via the official channel.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; good communication in verbal and written form.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare production equipment for cleaning by disassembling, cleaning and sanitizing.
  • Safely operate cleaning equipment including floor scrubber and cleaning tools.
  • Follow GMPs, food safety guidelines, and PPE usage.
  • Conduct self-inspections after task completion to ensure cleanliness.

Provides support to all areas of the plant that require sanitation.You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:Prepare production equipment for cleaning by disassembling, cleaning and sanitizing all food-processing equipment, including storage areas, and common areas such as floors, drains, and walls.Safely operate cleaning equipment including, but not limited to, floor scrubber and other cleaning tools.Safely work with chemicals and follow chemical usage labels for application and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Conduct self-inspections after task completion to ensure cleanliness and compliance with all food safety regulations and guidelines to minimize potential food safety risksPerform all tasks in accordance with GMP’s, food safety, company policies, and proceduresImportant Details: This is a part-time permanent role on the Weekend shift, which operates from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm or 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday. The wage range for this position is $23.26–$23.51 per hour, with $23.26 as the starting rate and $23.51 as the full rate.
