Job summary

Drake International in Hawkesbury, Ontario is seeking Sanitation Workers for a busy food production facility. This full-time, on-site role offers nights and a competitive pay rate with a shift premium.

You will help maintain GMP standards, clean and sanitize production areas, and support multiple line positions to ensure product quality. No prior sanitation experience is required, but reliability and physical stamina are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing and/or food production experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of GMP in a food production environment preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, challenging, and changing environment.
  • Ability to learn multiple positions and adapt to varying assignments.
  • Mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting and root cause problem-solving skills.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • CSA-approved safety footwear required.

Responsibilities

  • Package food products for shipment to retailers across Canada.
  • Assist line operators with process-related issues and basic equipment adjustments to support production efficiency.
  • Relieve team members as required for breaks, lunches, vacations, and absences.
  • Rotate through and learn multiple production line positions and workstations.
  • Support multiple production lines as operational needs require.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Follow all workplace safety, food safety, quality, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully within a team-based environment.
  • Prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced setting.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
