Job summary

Markstone Landscaping Ltd. is seeking Salt Truck Drivers to keep commercial properties ice-free and safe during winter. You will operate trucks to spread salt and de-icing materials, supporting our snow operations team and coordinating with crew leads.

This role requires early mornings or overnight shifts as needed, with a 20-hour guaranteed schedule and $25-$30 per hour compensation. Brand new equipment and ongoing training are provided to help you perform at your best.

Qualifications

• Strong teamwork and communication required.
• Ability to work in challenging winter conditions.
• Experience leading a crew of similar size is a plus.
• Valid G license and reliable transportation required.
• Willingness to work early mornings/late evenings/overnight shifts.

Position Overview:

As a Salt Truck Driver, you'll be responsible for operating our trucks to spread salt and de-icing materials across commercial properties. This role is crucial in preventing icy conditions and ensuring safety for our clients. While the work is weather-dependent, you'll play a key part in our snow operations team, working closely with crew leads and labourers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate salt trucks during and after snow events.
• Load, spread, and monitor salt applications to ensure even coverage.
• Work closely with snow crews and supervisors to prioritize properties and routes.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on vehicles and report maintenance needs.
• Be available to respond quickly to snow and ice events (early mornings, late evenings, or overnight shifts may be required).
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
  

Compensation:

$25-$30/hr. w/ 20 hours guaranteed!
