The Granite Club is looking for a full-time Salon Attendant who is responsible for providing support to all staff within the Salon at the Granite Club in order to facilitate the day-to-day operations in a professional and positive manner.

Primary Responsibilities

• Greet all members in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure all members have tea or water while they wait
• Escort members to service areas; prepare members for services and offer beverages or snacks.
• Ensure all members are in appropriate Salon Smock before service
• Perform Blow Dry as required.
• Must know how to perform all scalp head massage, hand massages and finishing touches
• Assists the stylists by washing members hair prior to their appointments
• Assist the stylist in removing color, highlights and anything else that is required
• Assist the stylist in pulling colour through the ends.
• Set examples of knowledge, professionalism and skill
• Stock all towels, robes and “back bar” styling products, magazines are neat, capes are hung on chairs neatly.
• Report any facility repair necessary.
• Wipe sinks and chairs in between guests and sweep the floor frequently.
• Dryers are to be wiped down and floors should be swept.
• All mirrors and hand mirrors must be cleaned daily.
• Maintain the cleanliness of all of the salon facilities, equipment and stations.
• Take all necessary items to the laundry and replace them with freshly laundered items.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in a related area.
• Excellent verbal and organizational skills
• Highly customer/member service oriented
• Well groomed, mannerly, co-operative, team oriented and friendly
• Able to work independently

Work Schedule

• Must be available to work weekends, weekdays and/or holidays, AM and PM.
