Job summary

Komforce is seeking a Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer to lead the hands-on build across Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Content Builder for a Canadian client in a regulated industry.

This Canada-based role requires strong AMPscript/SSJS coding, API integrations (REST/SOAP), data modeling with Data Extensions, and collaboration with architects, QA, and consultants to deliver a scalable, compliant Marketing Cloud solution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall Salesforce or marketing technology experience.
• 4+ years hands-on with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
• Strong AMPscript and SSJS development experience.
• Experience with Marketing Cloud Connect and Sales or Service Cloud integration.
• Based in Canada (mandatory due to data residency).
• Comfortable with a client background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on build across Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Content Builder.
• Develop dynamic content using AMPscript, SSJS, and HTML/CSS.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're hiring a senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer to join a Marketing Cloud implementation for a Canadian client operating in a regulated industry. You'll lead the hands-on build across Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Content Builder, working alongside consultants, architects, and QA to deliver a clean, scalable platform.

This role is based in Canada due to data residency requirements, and candidates must be comfortable with a client-led background check.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Development & Build

• Build campaigns, journeys, and automations across Marketing Cloud studios
• Develop dynamic content using AMPscript, SSJS, and HTML/CSS
• Create reusable email templates, content blocks, and modular assets
• Build and maintain Data Extensions, SQL queries, and Automation Studio activities

Integrations & Data

• Develop integrations between Marketing Cloud and other Salesforce clouds (Sales, Service, Data Cloud)
• Configure Marketing Cloud Connect and troubleshoot data sync issues
• Build REST and SOAP API integrations to upstream and downstream systems
• Implement contact management and subscriber data models

Quality & Delivery

• Follow defined coding standards and version control practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the team's technical playbook
• Support QA cycles and resolve defects through to closure
• Support deployments and environment promotion

• Prior delivery experience in regulated industries (Financial Services, Healthcare, Public Sector)
• Familiarity with CASL and PIPEDA compliance requirements

• Experience in consultancy or systems integrator environments
