Job summary

IBM Consulting in Toronto is offering a Salesforce & GTM Developer Intern role for January 2027. You’ll work with our Salesforce practice to support solution development, customization, and platform innovation, gaining exposure to designing, building, and delivering Salesforce solutions.

This four-month internship is ideal for students pursuing CS/SE, with hands-on Salesforce experience, REST API exposure, and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated initiative in identifying business challenges, evaluating risks and trade-offs, recommending solutions, and implementing them through coursework, internships, extracurricular activities, or personal projects.
  • Ability to break down complex business and technical challenges into manageable tasks and actionable solutions.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while delivering high-quality work on schedule.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ability to independently learn and apply new tools, technologies, and concepts in response to evolving project needs.

Responsibilities

  • Learn how Salesforce technology supports digital transformation.
  • Learn how AI agents and automation can improve user experiences.
  • Continuously build expertise in Salesforce and IBM technologies through hands-on learning and experimentation.
  • Design, develop, test, and debug Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWCs), and Flows, leveraging AI tools such as IBM Bob to accelerate delivery and address client business challenges.
  • Explore emerging technologies and innovative approaches by building proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and minimum viable products (MVPs) that demonstrate business value and uncover new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with consultants, architects, and clients to identify opportunities where Salesforce and IBM technologies can deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Support go-to-market (GTM) initiatives by contributing to solution demos and presentations.
  • Capture and codify lessons learned into reusable assets, patterns, accelerators, and internal frameworks that enhance the Salesforce Practice's delivery capabilities.

Your role and responsibilities

We’re looking for a curious, analytical, and technically driven intern to join IBM’s Salesforce practice in a Technical Consultant (Developer) & GTM internship role. This position is ideal for someone interested in software development, system design, and platform engineering — with opportunities to explore a long‑term career inSalesforce development and digital transformation.
As an Intern, you’ll work closely with our consulting and GTM teams to support solution development, customization, and platform innovation. You’ll gain real exposure to how IBM designs, builds and delivers Salesforce solutions that help organizations transform the way they serve their customers, employees, citizens, and partners.
