Salesforce Developer – Complex Solutions Specialist

Contract amount - hourly - it will depend on background and experience level

Expectation to be in the office - 4 days a week downtown Toronto

Client - banking

We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Developer with strong experience in building and configuring complex Salesforce solutions. This individual will play a key role in designing and delivering scalable, high-impact functionality across our Salesforce environment, supporting both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, test, and deploy custom solutions using Apex , Lightning Web Components (LWC) , and other Salesforce development tools.
• Build and maintain end-to-end Salesforce Flows , including configuration, development, and deployment of automation logic using Flow Builder.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Leverage strong understanding of Salesforce configuration and setup to manage objects, page layouts, record types, validation rules, user roles, profiles, and permission sets.
• Provide best practices and recommendations around Salesforce administration and environment setup , including sandbox management, metadata deployment, and release planning.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement efficient, maintainable solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, system performance, and optimal user experience.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• Proven expertise in complex Salesforce development , including custom Apex classes, triggers, and LWC.
• Advanced proficiency in Salesforce Flow —from simple automation to complex, multi-step business processes.
• Solid knowledge of Salesforce configuration and setup practices, including admin-level tasks and best practices.
• Experience with source control, deployment tools (e.g., Gearset, Copado), and Agile / Scrum methodologies is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience :

• Salesforce Platform Developer I and / or Administrator certification(s).
• Hands-on experience in multi-cloud Salesforce environments (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud).
• Familiarity with integration tools and APIs (e.g., REST / SOAP).
