Job summary

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science or related field.
• 2+ years Salesforce development experience (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows).
• 2+ years Salesforce administration experience.
• Experience with Sales, Service, Experience, and/or Nonprofit Cloud.
• Salesforce Platform Developer and Platform Administrator certifications.
• Strong understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, architecture, and data models.
• Front-end web development skills (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript).
• Back-end development skills (Java, C#, PHP, Python or Node.js).
• Proactive issue identification and superb problem resolution skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Job description

This role is a contractor position for full time hours from October to December. With consulting, engagements can sign or stall at any time, though we will do our best to proactively communicate workload expectations.

What you’ll do:

As a Salesforce Developer, you’ll use your technical and product knowledge to design, build and deliver tailored solutions for our clients, that adhere to best practices, using Salesforce and other connected technologies. Your work will cover two broad areas: technical development, and Salesforce consulting. Because of the interdisciplinary nature of this role, you will have the opportunity to be both a trusted consultant and an implementing developer. With much of your work completed remotely, the ability to communicate with team members and clients via email, chat, and conference calls is of the utmost importance. You will also:

• Provide input for project plans, estimates and scope for proposals and SOWs
• Listen and understand client industry, business models, processes, inefficiencies and pain points
• Support clients with day-to-day use of the platforms, including administration, configuration, email and landing page development, and website and systems integration
• Design solutions to client problems with a strategic view that takes into account a range of considerations including client goals, capacity, security, and long term scalability
• Write, interpret, and critique technical specifications
• Implement technical solutions for our clients that vary from using existing software systems to custom development and integrations to expand base functionality
• Adhere to platform best practices, finding opportunities for enhancements and bringing existing code into best practices
• Conduct comprehensive testing for stability and function
• Maintain code documentation and write/maintain test classes for all custom development
• Deliver technical training to clients
• Monitor release cycles to implement new updates
• Other duties as assigned

This role is able to be remote, though if you are close to our Toronto office, you are welcome to join us in office some days. This role reports to the VP of Services.

What you’ll bring:

• University degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or similar
• 2+ years of development experience with Salesforce (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flows)
• 2+ years administrative experience with Salesforce
• Experience with Sales, Service, Experience, and/or Nonprofit Cloud
• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer and Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator certifications
• Strong understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, architecture, and data models
• Front end web development skills (HTML, CSS, and Javascript)
• Back end web development skills (PHP, C#, Java, Ruby, Python or Node.js)
• Proactive issue identification and superb problem resolution skills
• Exemplary planning and organizational skills, along with a high degree of detail orientation
• Ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to clearly communicate with all types of staff including technical, professional, and upper management

Nice to have

• Salesforce Architect, Consultant, and/or Marketing certifications
• Experience with Data Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud
• Experience with other Marketing Automation platforms (Hubspot, Marketo, Eloqua)

• Thorough understanding of Jira and Google Workspace
