Job Description

As a salesfloor associate, you will help customers understand their needs and assist in selecting the right products. Knowledgeable sales professionals can make recommendations that solve customer problems and enhance their shopping experience.

This position is a seasonal contract from April/May to the end of August.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales through customer engagement, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge
• Clarify customer needs and guide them to suitable solutions for their projects
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions
• Take initiative and confidently manage customer interactions
• Produce quotes, material lists, and follow up
• Ensure high standards of safety and customer service
• Resolve customer challenges efficiently
• Continuously learn about products and market conditions

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Experience in sales and customer service
• High attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends (rotating shifts)
• Ability to learn and operate the applicable computer system (D635) for processing orders
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent (considered an asset)
• Bilingual in French and English
