Furthermore, Deer Creek Golf & Banquet Facility is the only facility in Ontario to host full-service golf tournaments for up to 400 players.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Events of Deer Creek, the Venue Coordinator provides an exceptional event client experience from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up. The Venue Coordinator will be involved in the sales of Deer Creek Event Spaces and culinary experiences, using each client interaction as an opportunity to build relationships and promote the venue.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute events and weddings professionally and efficiently.
  • Assist with event sales, including responding to inquiries, generating proposals, and conducting venue tours.
  • Ensure each event has a signed, accurate, and complete contract, with revisions approved by the Director of Sales & Events.
  • Coordinate event tastings as required.
  • Manage final details meetings with clients.
  • Oversee the execution of special events and weddings.
  • Create floor plans and banquet event orders.
  • Coordinate linen requirements for functions.
  • Keep event information up-to-date in systems.
  • Collect deposits and ensure payments are received timely.
  • Generate invoices and confirm guest counts and event details.
  • Communicate changes effectively with stakeholders.
  • Follow all policies and procedures.
  • Assist with planning Deer Creek hosted events, including idea generation and ticket sales.
  • Network and build relationships with clients.
  • Accommodate special requests appropriately.
  • Produce professional communications and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Attend industry trade shows as needed.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
Requirements
  • Background in hospitality or event planning.
  • Experience in event planning and knowledge of Caterease software is a plus.
  • Passion for food, beverages, and luxury event venues.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Flexible scheduling and availability.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
