This opportunity is to join our dynamic team based in Montreal.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

In this role, you will be an integral part of the Canadian derivatives sales and trading team, focusing on the sales and execution of both listed and OTC cross-asset derivatives for institutional clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include :

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Supporting the Institutional Sales team by executing transactions in listed and OTC derivatives markets on behalf of our clients.
  • Assisting the Institutional Sales team with various tasks related to marketing, onboarding, and business development.
  • Collaborating with the Institutional Sales team to generate trade ideas in derivatives.
  • Developing automation processes and tools, while documenting internal procedures.

Must Have :

  • Exceptional client service skills and a strong work ethic.
  • High integrity and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Good knowledge of VBA / Excel and / or other programming languages.
  • 4 to 10 years of relevant work experience in Financial Markets.

Nice to Have :

  • A positive outlook, intellectual curiosity, and a keen interest in derivatives markets.
  • Desired certifications include : CSC exams I and II; Conduct and Practices Handbook Course; Derivatives, Futures, and Options Course.

Education :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance (financial engineering, economics) or an MBA.
  • CFA program completed or in progress.

Languages : French and English

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
