Job summary

Beem Credit Union in Kelowna is seeking a Sales Support Specialist to provide operational and administrative support to Commercial and Small Business divisions. You will ensure accurate processing, compliance, and collaboration across departments to deliver exceptional client experiences and support business growth.

The role supports loan documents, credit reviews, and margin reporting, with cross-functional coordination and AML/KYC compliance.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary business diploma or degree required.
• 3–5 years of related experience with at least 1 year in lending.
• Proficiency with banking systems and MS Office tools.

The Sales Support Specialist provides operational and administrative support to the Commercial and Small Business Divisions, ensuring a premium level of service to assigned business clients. This role focuses on accurate processing, compliance, and collaboration across departments to deliver exceptional client experiences and support business growth.

This role is open to hybrid working arrangements working out of one of our Hubs.

Whatyou'lldo:

Client Service & Relationship Management

• Serves as secondary point of contact along with the Portfolio Manager and subject matter expert for business procedures to staff and clients.
• Builds strong partnerships with Portfolio Managers through efficient administrative processes and relationship-building techniques.
• Responds to client requests, processes transactions, and ensures seamless service delivery.
• Facilitates wire transfers, foreign exchange, and money instruments following AML and corporate guidelines.
• Assists Advisors and Relationship Managers with reactive client contacts and opportunity tracking.

Administrative & Operational Support

• Processes Loan documents, changes, and deficiencies accurately and efficiently.
• Supports loan/mortgage administration, credit reviews, reporting, and scheduling.
• Processes Annual Line of Credit Reviews and assists with margin reporting for Small Business.
• Utilizes Client Relationship Management (CRM) system for accurate data collection and compliance (AML, KYC).
• Liaises with internal departments such as Credit Approvals, Legal, Lending Services, and external partners to ensure smooth processes.
• Proactively identifies and facilitates cross-referral opportunities between Commercial Relationship Managers, Business Advisors, and other internal partners.
• Coordinates with Cash Management department for credit card and payment solutions.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Adheres to safety, security, and fraud prevention policies.
• Operates within transaction approval limits and follows AML guidelines.
• Investigates and follows up on potential fraudulent account activity.

• Proficiencyin Banking system, Microsoft suite i.e. Teams, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• 3 to 5 years' related experience with at least 1 year of lending experience
• Equivalent combination of the above may be appropriate
