Job summary

Beem Credit Union seeks a Commercial Relationship Manager to grow and manage a portfolio of business clients in British Columbia. You will assess credit needs, ensure compliance, and deliver tailored financial solutions.

With 4–6 years in commercial lending, you will develop local business relationships, promote lending and deposit services, and collaborate with internal teams to meet member goals while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Business, Finance, or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in commercial lending.
• Working knowledge of small business and commercial credit adjudication.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Must have own vehicle and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of commercial accounts, ensuring compliance and credit quality.
• Monitor account performance and implement strategies to mitigate risk.
• Ensure timely execution of transactions and adherence to Beem’s credit framework.
• Proactively call local business owners to grow the portfolio and network.
• Identify and pursue internal referrals and external business prospects.
• Promote Beem’s lending products and deposit services to meet member needs.

The Commercial Relationship Manager supports Beem’s vision of promoting financial wellness by developing long-term relationships with members, proactivelyidentifyingand fulfilling their commercial credit needs, and ensuring compliance with documentation standards. This role focuses on portfolio growth, risk management, and delivering exceptional member experiences through effective communication and tailored solutions.

What you’ll do:

• Manage an assigned portfolio of commercial accounts, ensuring compliance and credit quality.

Business Development

Relationship Management

• Build strong, loyal relationships with members by providing tailored financial solutions.


• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet member needs.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Business, Finance, or related field.


• 4-6 years of experience in commercial lending.


• Working knowledge of small business and commercial credit adjudication.

Compensation

Annual salary range: $92,200 to $115,200
