Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and edit sales proposals, presentations, and marketing support material.
• Review RFPs/RFIs, develop task lists, write responses, track development, manage pricing, and produce collateral.
• Liaise with sales teams and recommend communications, needs, and strategies.
• Mentor and guide two marketing analysts and an intern in proposal writing.
• Manage the proposal writing process and improve efficiency.
• Create and maintain market and competitive intelligence on customers and competitors.
• Provide internal and external communications support (newsletters, surveys).
• Conduct market research to improve quality of prospects and close rates.
• Translate customer needs into new solutions and sales approaches.
• Lead sales workshops to develop account strategies and action plans.

• Develop, write, and edit sales proposals, presentations, and marketing support material
• Review RFPs and RFIs, develop proposal task lists, write responses, track proposal development, manage pricing, and produce marketing collateral
• Serve as liaison with sales teams and recommend communications, needs, and strategies
• Administer the proposal writing team, including mentoring and guiding two marketing analysts and an intern
• Manage the proposal writing process and module program and improve process efficiency
• Create and maintain market and competitive intelligence on customer and competitor initiatives and service capabilities
• Provide internal and external communications support, including newsletters and surveys
• Locate and manage market research data sources and resources
• Perform market research to increase quality prospects, shorten sales cycles, and improve close rates
• Identify market trends and assist in formulating customer value propositions
• Translate opportunity and customer needs into new solutions and recommended sales approaches
• Lead sales workshops to develop account strategies and action plans
• Assist with planning and equipping trade show events
• Participate in special projects and perform other assigned duties

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Sales, Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, Communications or similar area of study, or High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
• 5 years related work experience in addition to the education requirement
• Knowledge of the waste industry, waste industry technologies and market, and sustainability trends in business
• Ability to develop, write, and edit sales proposals, presentations, and marketing support material
• Experience reviewing RFPs and RFIs, developing proposal task lists, writing responses, tracking proposal development, pricing, and producing marketing collateral
• Ability to conduct opportunity-based market research and manage research data sources
• Ability to create and maintain market and competitive intelligence
• Ability to develop competitive sales plans and value propositions
• Ability to collaborate with sales teams, managers, and senior leaders across functional areas
• Ability to use standard office equipment and computers
