Support for newcomers and refugees
- Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (e.g., facilitating access to community resources, language and skills training)
- Recruit newcomers and/or refugees displaced by conflict or natural disasters (e.g., Ukraine, Afghanistan)
- Assist with foreign credential recognition
- Offer mentorship programs pairing newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees
- Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to foster a welcoming work environment
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
- Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations
- Provide cultural competency and awareness training for all employees
- Facilitate access to Elders for support and guidance to Indigenous workers
Support for visible minorities
- Implement hiring policies that discourage discrimination, such as anonymized applications
- Offer mentorship programs pairing visible minorities with experienced employees
- Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create an inclusive workplace
