Job summary

Trouw Nutrition is looking for a Sales Representative – Poultry in Chilliwack, BC. This role involves developing sales plans and building relationships with customers in the poultry industry. What You’ll Do
  • Develop and execute sales plans for the assigned territory to achieve agreed sales objectives and targets.
  • Proactively identify, approach, and acquire new customers using market knowledge, insights, and diverse outreach methods.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with new and existing customers to drive satisfaction, loyalty, and long‑term growth.
  • Apply value‑based selling techniques to understand customer needs and position products and services as effective, differentiated solutions.
  • Manage and resolve customer inquiries and issues efficiently, working closely with Sales and Customer Service teams.
  • Maintain accurate sales administration, including documenting sales activities, customer interactions, and follow‑up actions using established systems and tools.
  • Provide timely qualitative and quantitative sales insights to management to support informed decision‑making and strategy adjustments.
  • Continuously develop product, market, and technical knowledge through training to effectively advise customers and support sales efforts.
  • Participate in sales and customer service projects, contributing to process improvements and positive business outcomes.
  • Support research and validation activities as required, including tasks such as weighing birds and collecting trial data at Trouw’s Broiler Research & Validation site in Chilliwack.
Who We’re Looking For
  • Ability to work on site during regular business hours, with flexibility to accommodate customer visits and meetings as required.
  • Poultry industry knowledge and experience, with a solid understanding of poultry nutrition and feed programs.
  • Proven sales experience, preferably within agriculture, feed, or animal nutrition industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in feed sales, ideally within the poultry sector. Sales Rep experience in BC poultry industry, especially in feed sales. Poultry farm management experience and farm connections are also assets.
You’ll also need
  • Bachelor’s degree in animal science, poultry science, agriculture, agribusiness, or a related field is preferred.
  • Equivalent education and relevant industry experience (in field of poultry production, feed sales, or farm operations)
  • Practical knowledge of farm operations is strongly valued.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with common business systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong relationship‑building and communication skills, with a customer‑centric mindset.
