Summary :
As a key member of our rapidly growing organization, our Sales Associate ultimately acts as the face of our company by delivering outstanding customer service and building strong relationships. You will be responsible for selling our products to restaurants, caterers, hotels, and retail establishments by performing the following duties :
What you’ll do :
- Generate sales revenue through developing new sales and increasing sales with existing accounts.
- Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from networking, newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet websites, and other sources.
- Travel throughout the assigned territory and/or call on regular and prospective customers to secure orders.
- Display or demonstrate products using samples or catalogs, emphasizing saleable features.
- Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Estimate delivery dates based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules.
- Prepare reports of business transactions and keep expense accounts updated.
- Work with inside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature current.
- Track stock levels.
- Enter new customer data and sales data for current customers into the database.
- Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.
About you :
- One to two years of relevant sales experience is highly desired.
- Previous sales experience in restaurant, food sales, professional catering, or working as a chef is preferred.
- High energy, positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a strong team player profile.
- Ability to foster a positive and innovative atmosphere encouraging commitment and going beyond the call of duty to achieve objectives.
- Driven and motivated to take responsibility and ensure successful outcomes despite obstacles.
- Excellent organizational skills to handle and prioritize multiple projects.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to promote participation and involvement.
- Ability to gather facts, monitor progress, and achieve goals in a timely manner.
- Self-starter who asks questions and learns new skills quickly.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- College degree is preferred but not required.
- Candidates must reside in the assigned geographic sales area.
