Job summary

Elevate Recruitment & Staffing is seeking a Sales and Marketing Assistant to join a Windsor-based manufacturer and distributor of consumer products. This on-site role supports a small sales team and offers hands-on ownership of accounts and campaigns.

You will grow into outbound outreach, handle quotes, orders, and inquiries, and collaborate across sales, marketing, and operations in a growing company. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business, marketing, commerce, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Comfortable interacting with customers by phone.
• Solid MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Organized, accurate, able to multitask and manage priorities.
• Self-starter who follows directions and takes initiative.
• Interest in sales, marketing, and consumer products.
• Driver's license and access to a vehicle is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales team: prepare quotes, enter orders, follow up on accounts.
• Maintain customer records, pricing, and order history in the system.
• Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email; route to the right person.
• Coordinate with production and shipping on order timelines.
• Prepare sales materials, product sheets, and presentations.
• Build and schedule social media, email, and promotional content.
• Track sales and campaign performance; compile simple reports.
• Support trade shows, product launches, and customer visits.
• Handle general administrative work to keep the sales function moving.

Responsibilities

Supporting the sales team

• Prepare quotes, enter orders, and follow up on open accounts
• Maintain customer records, pricing, and order history in the company system
• Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email and route them to the right person
• Coordinate with production and shipping on order timelines and customer commitments
• Prepare sales materials, product information sheets, and presentations
• Build and schedule social media, email, and promotional content
• Track sales and campaign performance and pull together simple reports
• Support trade shows, product launches, and customer visits
• Handle general administrative work that keeps the sales function moving

Growing into outreach

• Follow up on inbound leads and qualify them for the sales team
• Reconnect with lapsed and inactive accounts
• Research and build prospect lists in target markets
• Take on your own outbound calls and accounts as you build product knowledge

What you need

• Post secondary education in business, marketing, commerce, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication in English
• Comfortable on the phone with customers
• Solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Organized, accurate, and able to manage several tasks at once
• Self starter who takes direction well and follows through without reminders
• Interest in sales, marketing, and consumer products
• Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle is an asset
