Job summary

Electrozad, part of Sonepar, in Brampton, Ontario, seeks a seasoned Sales Manager to lead the branch, drive growth and implement strategic plans.

You will oversee forecasting, budgeting, and performance across sales channels, while guiding reps and maintaining key client relationships. This role requires strong leadership, industry knowledge and a track record in distribution.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • College/University Diploma in Business preferred.
  • Courses in Sales/Marketing an asset.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and embody the Vision and values of the Company.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of strategic sales and branch budget plans to accommodate corporate goals.
  • Translate strategic direction into specific objectives for sales channels and alliances.
  • Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.
  • Advise reps concerning sales techniques.
  • Review and oversee assigned sales territories Outside Sales Representatives.
  • Assist with the product simplification and standardization process to remove unprofitable items.
  • Represent the Company at trade association meetings to promote the Company.
  • Deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
  • Meet with key clients, assist sales reps in maintaining relationships and closing deals.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume and potential growth.
  • Aid President with revenue projections, budgeting and forecasting for the region.
  • Review daily activities and financial statements vs. objectives and take corrective actions.
  • Manage branch resources within productivity benchmarks.
  • Resolve day-to-day personnel issues.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Aid President with revenue projections, reporting, budgeting and forecasting for assigned region
  • Review the daily activities and financial statements vs. objectives and take steps to ensure appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results
  • Manage branch resources within target productivity and efficiency benchmarks
  • Resolve day to day personnel issues where management decisions are required
Qualifications required:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • College/University Diploma required (Business related, preferred).
  • Courses in Sales/Marketing an asset.
  • Industry knowledge
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
Experience required:
  • Minimum 7-10 years of related experience within distribution
  • Minimum 3-5 years previous management experience
