The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the Regional Team of Outside Sales Representatives (OSRs) to drive profitable revenue growth within their assigned customer base. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in sales management, and the ability to develop and motivate a high-performing sales team.
What you will do:
- Contribute to the implementation and optimization of a focused sales strategy.
- Lead all aspects of team management including recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
- Build and manage a sales pipeline ensuring sustainable growth in all market sectors and across all product categories.
- Direct the flow of information for sales activities (lead management, opportunity management including price governance and contract negotiation) and evaluate data to ensure that top-line sales and profit margin goals are met.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, product management, procurement, supply chain, and branch operations to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers and vendor partners to increase market share and deliver profitable growth.
- Represent the company at industry events to promote products and services.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market developments to identify new opportunities for growth.
- As Wolseley continues to grow, the Regional Sales Manager will be a leading change agent, contributing to the implementation of sales effectiveness and enablement initiatives to leverage team knowledge and skills.
- Oversee sales transactions, including leads, billings, orders, and contracts, ensuring goals are met.
- Assist in annual budget planning and monitor team expenditures.
- Respond to inquiries, resolve problems related to sales, and work with other departments to address customer service, administrative, and operational issues.

What you will bring:
- Post-secondary education plus 7-10 years of related experience, including 3-5 years of progressive sales experience, preferably in wholesale distribution, or equivalent education and experience
- Industry product knowledge related to company product lines and markets served
- Knowledge of competitors’ strategies and tactics
- Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels, preparing and delivering professional documents and presentations
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork ability
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Fluency in CRM tools like Salesforce and experience with related apps such as ConstructConnect, ZoomInfo, and other sales enablement tools
